Bought this pram as we do a lot of walking off road and the reviews said how good it was for that. I finally have been able to use it as my daughter was born three weeks ago and we love it!! Also very easy to put up and down.

Love running with my mb terrain! so smooth and my running time has improved (whilst running with a pram). Love the extra features like the 2 bonus water holder and the zip-up storage on the bottom. And I bought it for half price when they had the sale! So much to love.

We purchased a legacy mountain buggy a month ago and are really happy about it. Our little one (aged 11 weeks) sleeps well on walks. The buggy is quiet and handles bumps and rough surfaces very well. It is easy to assemble initially and folds away quickly. It is a bit big for a small car. We had to remove the back wheels to fit it in a Kia Rio. This is quick to do but something to consider. The storage basket is a good size.

BEST BUGGY EVER

We are the proud owners of our second mountain buggy, the first which saw our daughter use the Urban Buggy for 4 Years and then our son. We decided it will be only fair to upgrade and purchase our son his own new 'car'. We on sold the urban to a couple with a young baby and have seen them around the local area and they are happy with their purchase. So without a question we decided on the mountain buggy, this time opting for the terrain, we absolutely love our purchase and love the mountain buggy brand. Great work with top quality equipment.

I bought this stroller 2 weeks ago and absolutely love it! My son fits in it so comfortably and falls asleep while on our walks! The size of the tires are perfect for living where there is off-road terrain and the hand brake is a wonderful option for slowing the stroller while going down a steep hill. I am so glad I bought this! Although I do wish there were other car seat adapters or a universal one for this stroller.

We love the Terrain!! The push is amazing. One handed even over rough terrain! My son wants to sit only in this stroller. It has great storage for water bottles, phones, and even snacks and drinks accessible to my son. It is easy to put together and easy to fold. It does have a large fold but we are not using it for travel so it does not make a difference to us. It is great as an all terrain stroller, pushes easily over many different types of ground- rocks, gravel, grass. Love the handbrake to slow down when going down hill. Overall, a great buy!
Pros
  • easy push, hand brake, larg air-filled tires, canopy, storage, easy fold
Best Uses
  • outdoor/indoor, beach, walking, all terrain, rocks, gravel, sand, grass, hills.
Cons
  • large fold
Fantastic maneuverability

This is an excellent stroller for walking and running. It is very easy to maneuver, even with one hand which I find myself doing often. The handle is easy to move which works well for my and my tall husband. It is very comfortable to run with and my son has been very happy sitting in his stroller. Nice big sun hood too. The improvements I would make are as follows: - The handle can be adjusted by pressing two buttons on either side and moving it. Often I want to move it one handed, so this can be a pain (not a huge deal!) - When my son was older (over 18 months), he would want to sit up a lot more, but the angle of the stroller means that he is quite reclined and I think this frustrated him as he couldn't see so well or play with this toys so well. - I would have loved it if this stroller came in more vibrant colour options. - There is a small additional mesh sun visor that you can pull down, but it only gives a couple of inches more and it could do with a little extra. Overall, I love this stroller!

I have had my Mountain Buggy Terrain for four years. I have used it since my daughter was a newborn. I used both the car seat attachment and the bassinet attachment and loved them both. I camp, hike, beach walk, and more, and the Terrain has endured it all with ease. And there's so many extras, cup holder, storage, large visor, the list goes on. We now have a new addition coming to our family in the next two weeks and I am excited to continue using the Terrain.

What a versatile pram!

My name is Krista and I am the mother to 18 month old Maverick. When pregnant, I researched a number of prams and what to get. There are LOTS out there in the market today, funky looking, colourful and the like but what drew me back to Mountain Buggy was ‘why’ I needed a pram, ‘what’ I needed it for and ‘how practical’ it would be for me. This brand wins over all in my opinion. A balance of everything, may not be as ‘cool’ as the others, but I am sure the others don’t do everything my Mountain Buggy does! I chose the terrain. I wanted to be able to run with the pram if need be, and take on uneven surfaces using the suspension. I LOVE it! It has been amazing so far. What is even more amazing is that the rear 16 wheels can be changed to put 12 wheels on them should I wish to take the pram to the supermarket or similar and don’t want it looking like a jogging pram. I also had attachments to have a capsule in the pram, bassinet and the rearward facing seat. This brand truly has it all and it has lived up to my expectations. I not only use my pram for walks and to the shops but I use it for runs and some exercises. (take a look @fithappymummy on instagram or Fit Happy Mummy on facebook!) I am a Personal Trainer and have found this pram amazing to use when exercising. It is good to run with, having the big wheels, suspension and the handbrake if need be (always wrap the safety strap around your wrist please mummas). I also use it to do exercises with, get creative and have fun. As pictured in the video, I am seen to use it for jogging, lunges and a crawl which is amazing to get those flat tummies after birth! I cannot recommend Mountain Buggy and their range higher. They have a pram to suit every household and have truly satisfied my needs (so much so I have even purchased the nano and the duet - don't get me started on reviewing them or I'll be here all day!) As Mountain Buggy say, ‘Live your life without limit’ and that is exactly what these prams do!

Fine if you only want to walk with it

If you're only planning on walking with your child, this is a perfectly fine stroller. However, if you actually want to run, I'd get something else. Mine wobbles and shakes so violently when I run with it that it's completely unusable. I've tried adjusting the position of the front wheel, but it doesn't make any difference. Wish I'd bought a BOB instead!

Shaky front wheel
By Nicole

on February 5, 2015
I've had this pram for nearly 11 months & I've had nothing but trouble. The front wheel shakes uncontrollably when walking & jogging to the point you can't continue. It's particularly bad when weight is distributed in lying down position. I've had 2 new frames & a new front tyre but the problem continues. The front wheel also locks itself at times. Not a happy customer. I've got 2 friends with the same pram having the same issue.

I have had my Mountain Buggy Terrain for 3 years, and have used it everyday. I teach outdoor Baby Boot Camp fitness classes with it, and also do about 25 miles of running with it outside of class each week. My son has grown up in this stroller. We absolutely love it. It is so comfortable, easy to push and handles like a glove. We are very rough on it, and have never had any major issues with the stroller. So happy to use a dependable and really good looking product.

I can't tell you enough how much I love this stroller! I've trained for two half marathons with it this summer. My little girl has traveled more miles than any baby in this town I'm pretty sure of it! So easy to manage during my runs. I'd almost rather run pushing my 7 month old than not!

I have owned this jogger for a month now. It is great can run in full stride. Love the adjustable handle bar and hand break. My baby loves the ride and often falls asleep, making the reclining seat a great feature. Replaced the tubes in the tires with puncture resistant tubes because had flat tires in first use.

My wife and I were having our first baby and decided we would pay quality once, rather than junk multiple times. Our requirements were; it had to work as a running stroller and everyday stroller, the handle had to adjust to a good height ( I'm 6'6). The Terrain fit the bill. Most multipurpose strollers can't truly be used for running. This one can. And I have still yet to find a stroller with a handle that adjusts to such a wide range of heights. Well, that was 3 1/2 years ago. We now have two kids and the Terrain is still rolling strong. The only thing we have had to replace are the inner tubes in the tires. Awesome product!

We have not actually used this stroller yet because our baby hasn't been born but overall it seems like a good quality product. It was easy to put together and the seat is easily removable to install the car seat adapter. We will be using it with the car seat primarily in the beginning and thus also purchased the 12" urban wheel pack which makes the stroller a bit more compact. Stroller is easily folded in and out. It is a bit on the heavy side but we knew that would be unavoidable since we wanted a good jogging and all-terrain stroller. When we received the stroller we were disappointed to find that there was a huge whole in the box. The front wheel knob was protruding through this hole and has some scratches on it. The stroller was not packaged in any styrofoam or bubble wrap so movement during shipping most likely caused this. I was surprised that such an expensive stroller would just be thrown into a box without any form of padding. Not sure if this was Mountain Buggy's fault or that of Albee Baby. Either way, we shared our concerns with Albee Baby and, since we are not able to exchange the stroller due to time restrictions with baby being due and all, Albee Baby refunded us 10% of the cost due to the damage. Great customer service!! I am not sure if the damage is superficial or if it will affect the use of the front wheel. Only time will tell, however I am hoping it's just some scratches and nothing more. Can't wait to go for a run with this stroller once the little one is old enough!
Pros
  • Folds in and out very easily. Seat can be removed entirely to install car seat or cot. Smaller rear wheels can be purchased for a more compact size.
Best Uses
  • Jogging, off-road, light hiking and trails
Cons
  • Heavy
Awesome stroller, quality not so good after 2010
By Fred
from Renton, wa
on August 16, 2011
This is one awesome stroller. We have 2, a 2008 Urban single, and a 2010 Double. It is light weight, easy to maneuver, very sturdy and durable. We are sad to see though, that after production went to China with the 2010 model year the quality is not at par with the 2008 model we have. It seems a bit more flimsy and squeaky, and in particular the wheel bearings are bad. They broke after 8 months of everyday use 2-3 miles/day.Still an awesome stroller, just make sure you get things taken care of before the warranty runs out.
Pros
  • Sturdy, light weight, very good quality.
Cons
  • China made models (2010 and newer) are not as good quality as the earlier New Zealand made models.
