I bought this seat because my infant carrier was not going to be in before my daughter was born. We used it to bring her home from the hospital and she fit in it just fine. We will use it again once she out grows the carrier. I wanted this seat due to the extended rear facing option as I want to keep her safe as possible. This is a great seat for babies of all ages.
