This infant insert has been amazing! I tried using one of those wrap style carriers fir my newborn and couldn't get his head to lay right, but using this with my ergo baby carrier made things pretty much fool-proof. Oliver loves being in the carrier and usually falls asleep within minutes. So great to have the use of my hands again so so can get some stuff done.

This product works as it should and is a must have to use my Ergobaby 360 carrier with my infant. Would be ideal if there was an option to get the insert with the carrier(s) and have it built into the price because I didn't realize I needed this piece and then had to wait to use my carrier. I give it 4 stars for this inconvenience

Perfect and very secure

my newborn was 1900g five days after she was released from the hospital, so this insert helped but carrier itself is still too big for her. After she was 8days old, she went back to her birth weight (5lb) and the carrier and the insert fits her better.
This insert is pretty solid and stable and makes us feel very safe carrying fragile newborn with the carrier.
Though, I'm tiny (4.9ft) so the carrier is too large for me but it fits great with my husband who is 5.8 ft.

I didn't have this insert for my first child but decided to get it for my second. I love it! I should've bought it for my first. It's so convenient and my baby seems very comfortable and usually falls asleep quickly in it. He also has hip dysplasia and it's been so helpful and was approved for use by my doctor.

Unfortunately, was too small for our baby by the time we received the insert. We did use the cushion that comes with the insert and it was perfect for our little baby. I can see how the whole insert would be great for a newborn and can't wait to try with our next child.

You definitely need the insert if you're baby is under 4 months. It helps them sit comfortably in the carrier. A friend gave me their ergo carrier without the insert and my son wouldn't tolerate it until I bought the insert. It was a game changer. He loves it now. It positions him perfectly in the carrier so I don't worry that he can't breath or is too scrunched up. Trust me if your baby is under 4 months and doesn't have head control and can't sit comfortably with their legs out you need this insert. It's so worth it and when we're done with our carrier I'll be sure to pass it on with the insert.

I used the old version (unattached) with my 1st. Worked fine but not ideal. I felt between a squishy newborn and the squishy insert, there was a decent margin for user error. This new one removes a little bit of the squish. I also like the mesh as my newborns tend to run SUPER warm when they're all snuggled up next to us.

I bought a used ergo carrier and could tell my little one wasn't quite big enough. I ordered the infant insert and I'm so glad I did because she loves being able to look around and before the carrier instructed her view. I will probably start using just the pillow part soon. I'm glad it came in mesh to keep her cool also because it has been very hot out and I've been able to use this outside some. It is great if she's sleepy because she passes right out and has that soft pillow holding her.

I'm on the fence on how I feel, I don't think the neck support isn't very high. My baby is 5 weeks old and 10lbs and it is a lot of adjusting on how he sits in the insert. He didn't over head or me either. Maybe I need more practise with it.
