This infant insert has been amazing! I tried using one of those wrap style carriers fir my newborn and couldn't get his head to lay right, but using this with my ergo baby carrier made things pretty much fool-proof. Oliver loves being in the carrier and usually falls asleep within minutes. So great to have the use of my hands again so so can get some stuff done.

I used the old version (unattached) with my 1st. Worked fine but not ideal. I felt between a squishy newborn and the squishy insert, there was a decent margin for user error. This new one removes a little bit of the squish. I also like the mesh as my newborns tend to run SUPER warm when they're all snuggled up next to us.

I bought a used ergo carrier and could tell my little one wasn't quite big enough. I ordered the infant insert and I'm so glad I did because she loves being able to look around and before the carrier instructed her view. I will probably start using just the pillow part soon. I'm glad it came in mesh to keep her cool also because it has been very hot out and I've been able to use this outside some. It is great if she's sleepy because she passes right out and has that soft pillow holding her.

I'm on the fence on how I feel, I don't think the neck support isn't very high. My baby is 5 weeks old and 10lbs and it is a lot of adjusting on how he sits in the insert. He didn't over head or me either. Maybe I need more practise with it.

This version is a little more flimsy than the cotton insert, but it's cooler too. It's also nice if you already have the cotton to get this too in case of diaper blow outs. It's great to have a backup!

My 9 week old baby was borderline heavy enough to go in the 360 without the instert but remember it's a guidline. Her head was not high enough and she was not comfortable. So I got the insert and it made the world of difference. She is comfortable for hours in it. I mainly used it to go on the plane. She slept the entire time. So convenient to have her safe and comfy and be able to have your hands free. I would recommend it with no hesitation.
