I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to use the decorative cover AND the protective cover at the same time, but the protective cover is slim enough that the decorative cover still fits over my Boppy pillow. I haven't been able to trial how well it protects the pillow from spit up or breast milk leaks yet because my little one still has a month to go before she arrives, but I'm hoping this will prevent me from having to wash the actual pillow in the event of an accident.

While this will give you a little extra protection it's important to note that it's water resistant, not waterproof. A small amount of spit up might not soak all the way through but large amounts of liquid will go right through to the pillow. I ended up buying waterproof lap pads which I put over the pillow while I was nursing. These were much more effective at preventing spit up from soaking into the pillow and were also much easier to deal with since I didn't have to hassle with getting the cover on/off the Boppy.

This is a great addition to the Boppy pillow that protects it from getting wet. You put this on the Boppy, and then you put the decorative cover over this. It really keeps the pillow in great shape. My pillow is 3 years old, and it has been through 2 children, and it still looks brand new!
