Great pacifiers for newborns
Great set for a new parent!

This is an excellent bottle set. I would recommend adding this to every new parents registry, and it would make an excellent gift. My son started on bottles as a newborn, and when we introduced these to him he took to these bottles instantly, and we never had any issues. I love that the set comes with two different sized bottles and two different sized nipples, so you're all set when your babe starts eating more or when you want to move up in nipple size. We still use these bottles and my son is almost 10 months. I like the wide openings to the bottles and nipples, which make them very easy to clean with the included bottle brush. I also love the soothie pacifiers; they make a great addition to this set. These are the pacifiers distributed in hospitals and it's the only pacifier my son ever showed any interest in. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this gift set.

When my son was born, he was tongue tied and this soother was the only one he could keep a grip on with his tongue. This has been the only pacifier that he likes or will take even after getting his tongue clipped. I definitely would recommend this product to everyone!

Amazing pacifier!

My husband and I received this pacifier in the hospital when we delivered our little girl and we have been thankful for it ever since. This pacifier is great in every way. Our daughter loves it and she's only 3 weeks old! It's also easy to little hands to grab it when it falls out of little mouths. The shape of the pacifier itself is also very unique, definitely providing unequaled soothing comfort to my baby when she's fussy, or just looking for something to suck on after a bottle. After we got discharged from the hospital, we went out and bought 3 more of these! Definitely recommend this pacifier!

I highly recommend "The Soothie". My son is my only child (I have 4) that I have been able to EXCLUSIVELY breastfeed longer than a few weeks. I use the soothie with him and he absolutely loves it AND he breastfeed VERY well!!! :)

We currently are still using the one we were given to in the hospital almost 4 months strong and its the only pacifier my LO will take. Isn't to big nor too small. This keeps my son content and happy.

My 5 month old son was napping and woke up crying, which isn't normal. When I went to pick him up I noticed the soothie pacifier was stuck on his thumb!!!! It was cutting off his circulation, thankfully he is ok, we got it off in time. He only had swelling for a few hours. Never using again!!!!!!

We received this product as a sample to review. Our child did not prefer this type. We have used these before with some of our other children, especially when they are newborns but this child did not like these kind. They are a great product, just not what our child preferred.

I received a free sample of this Avent Soothie Pacifier, and it has quickly become my new favorite! It's made well and I like how it looks- I've bought several more since receiving the first one. It fits in my daughter's mouth perfectly; it's not too big or too small, and she's able to hold on to it with no problem. It helps calm her down when she's crying- I think it makes her feel safe and secure. It doesn't change shape or get sticky, which is great because it will last a lot longer than some of her older ones. And I love that it's dishwasher safe. Awesome pacifier!

I received these pacifiers free in exchange for this review and found them functional. My daughter didn't especially care for them and seemed to have some difficulty latching on to them. The product itself is made of a sturdy material and its color makes it easy to see in the bottom of the diaper bag.

I was sent a free sample of these pacifiers to review; however, I was already familiar with them and I love them. My daughter loves them too. They are a very simple design and pretty indestructible - I haven't had to buy any more, even though she's constantly sucking on them, and she's almost 8 months old.

Love this plastic free option
By KayS1

I used these pacifiers with my first two children and now that I am expecting my 3rd I went in search of new pacifiers. I knew I liked soothies after using them with my first two kids but wanted to see what else was available now. My only criteria was that I wanted something made entirely of medical grade silicone and preferably not made in China. After months of searching available options I have once again settled on soothie being the best choice. Most other options I looked into were composed of food grade silicone (not medical grade) and 99% of them were also manufactured in China. Things I love about the Soothie: 1. made in the USA 2. medical grade silicone 3. plastic free 4. one piece design 5. durable 6. easy to clean 7. babies seem to like them Two things I would change: 1. I wish these had some sort of handle or loop that would allow you to easily attach them to pacifier clips or your child's lovie. (I would love to see Phillips Avent come out with an option like this.) 2. I wish they were available in a natural (clear/un-dyed) color option.

This was my first time trying the Soothie pacifier, I received it as a free sample to generate this review. My son was previously using an orthodontic pacifier, so I was concerned with how he would do with this one. Well, he took it like a champ! The nipple resembles that of a bottle, which is a familiar and comforting feeling for him. As a mom, I loved that the material is BPA free, safe for boiling (sanitizing) and dishwasher safe.

I received a free sample of the Avent Soothie nooks. (we call them nooks) I love that they are all silicon for teething and chewing purposes. My son is almost 6 months old and has no desire to use this as an actual nook. He does however chew on it because he is teething. I would recommend this product to my friends because I love the fact that they are all silicon vs the other brands who have hard plastic. also VERY easy to clean!

I received a free sample of the Philips Avent Soothie in exchange for my review. This product was not for us. My baby had a hard time keeping it inside her mouth. The nice thing about it is that everything is made out of soft rubber. It would also be nice for it to have a little handle on it for easier handling. She did like playing with it, but not to keep sucking on it. It didn't interest her.

I received this product as a sample to try out and review, however I had already purchased several of these before hand. I started my twin boys on pacifiers at 1 month of age and they loved the soothies. The tab on the back is nice to prop them up on when they are set down so they don't get dirty. They fit over the tip of the finger to use as a toy to play with your baby. Being open on the back also helps to dispense medicine if need be. The only downside to them was that the boys had trouble keeping a latch onto them when they got older then got bored with them after they hit about 3 months of age. They are 6 months old now and we still keep them around and the boys play with them. The boys also have a little stuffed toy that has Soothies attached to them that the boys love to hold on to and play with as well.

Good pacifier for breastfed babies
By DanaNS
from Kansas City, MO
on February 4, 2016
I received a free sample of this product to test and give my opinion in a review. Overall, I really like this pacifier for my breastfed baby. The shape is much easier for him to latch onto than traditional pacifiers and the design is great because he can hold it in himself and kind of chew on his finger. He always pulls out the pacifiers with the circular latches. Unfortunately, I got the wrong size so it was way to small for him, but I`m sure the bigger size would work well. On the down side, it might be hard to clip on if you like to attach the pacifiers to the baby`s clothes in some way...

When they're good, they're good. However, I've bought several of these now, and more often than not, they have a hole right in the center making them impossible to use as a latch is not possible.

My baby girl does not care for the other brands of Binky on the market. But these she can't go without. Her granny threw hers in the trash by mistake and to avoid a sleepless night we had to get a replacement. The others she will take only for a few minutes, but this will give you a full nights rest :-)

I use/used soothies for 5 year old when he was an infant and now with my 8 month old. They love it! I started using them once nursing was established and never had a problem with latching. I just bought the yellow ones for my daughter to use in daycare because all of the other babies have them too! Thankfully, she's the only baby with a yellow soothie.

I was struggling to find the right soothie for my son. I bought over 14 different designs (different trademarks). He had that one in the hospital but I couldn't fins it. I finally managed to dind how it's called (as I'm not native en speaker). My boy is now 5 months and still loves it. He just started chewing it too. But still it's the only soothie that he can keep in his mouth and suck it wothout choking.

Age guideline is misleading, this is for babies with TEETH

My baby loved the 0-3 month Soothie. I bought this one for him when he was 4 months old. He cannot keep it in his mouth and is constantly spitting it out. The nipple on this one is much, much tougher than on the 0-3 month soothie. It is seriously hard work for my baby to keep this in his mouth. Upon further research, I found that this pacifier is intended for babies with teeth (http://www.healthcare.philips.com/main/products/mother_and_child_care/post_natal_care/nicu/calming_and_soothing/supersoothie/). I read the entire label while in the store and it said NOTHING about being intended for babies with teeth. So, while it may be great for children who want a pacifier to CHEW on, it's not so great for babies who just want a little comfort sucking.
