I agreed to participate in a product test of the newborn glass bottle starter kit for our daughter. We had a difficult time with breast feeding, and reluctantly decided to start bottle feeding. Our daughter had no problem with the nipples as they were wider. Honestly I didn't really expect too much from them, but after using them as we have for the past month, they have more than exceeded our expectations. They are all we use now.

My favorite thing about the product was that I felt much more comfortable microwaving formula in it since it is glass. There is also an overall feeling of well being not using plastic in general. The glass bottles also seemed to come cleaner than the plastic ones do and it was easier to control the temperature of the formula. I also liked that the product came with a little koozie-like holder. The negative attributes were the weight- they are heavy! I didn't feel comfortable letting my nine year old stepdaughter feed the baby with them in fear she would drop it. When packing a travel bag I was also always apprehensive to pack them because of how heavy they made the bag.

In exchange for a honest review, I was sent a free sample. This was a wonderful product, I definately benefited from the trial program as I was able to sample a effective, safe and reliable product. The glass makes clean up a breeze, all while keeping temperatures constant at longer periods. There was no leakage, and smells were nothing to note either. Very easy to hold as well, not slippery at all.

I love these bottles! They are a heavy duty thicker glass that are not bulky and the design of the bottle makes it very easy to hold. My baby likes the shape of the nipple and the nipple is the best thing out there by far for mothers who are breastfeeding but have to supplement with formula. All of the parts are quite easy to clean. I received a free set of these bottles to try them out and I would definitely recommend these bottles to everyone I know that is having a baby.

Overall, I have loved using the Newborn Glass Starter Set, but I found an item that could use improvement. I should mention that I was sent a free sample to use for this review. I was skeptical of using glass bottles at first, but found they are rather nice to use. They felt nice in my hands and weren't as heavy as I thought they might be. They are also easy to clean and warmed up milk faster than plastic bottles. My baby was between 2 and 3 months during the trial and had never used a bottle before, was able to easily latch onto the provided bottle nipples. We had no problems switching back and forth between the bottle and breast. The two pacifiers that are included are also very nice, and my baby likes using them. The item that I thought needed the most improvement was the bottle sleeve. Overall, the idea and the fabric are really nice, but because of the large seams on the inside it does not fit on the bottle right. I found if I turned the sleeve inside out it fit on the bottle much better. Again, I have loved using the Newborn Glass Starter Set, and will continue to use and recommend it.

Our family was very satisfied with this starter set! We're already familiar with and love the Soothies so getting 2 more were nice. The glass bottles and "Natural" nipples were great! My niece Lilah took to the set up well. We noticed faster feedings with less spilling while using the sample bottles. As a glass bottle, you will feel the difference in weight if comparing them to plastic bottles of the same size. However, it feels durable and seems sturdy enough to withstand a few drops. I also had piece of mind knowing that the bottles were safe from chemicals, easy to sanitize, and made in the U.S.A.

At first I wasn't sure about using a glass bottle because I was worried that I would break one, that it would be too warm to hold with warm milk, and that it would be too heavy. I was pleasantly surprised that the bottles were very hardy. They are ergonomically shaped, so they're easy to hold while feeding the baby. The kit does come with a sleeve so my hand wasn't hot holding a warm bottle while feeding. It is the same nipple that you would use with other Avent products, so I was happy with that. I think that as my baby got older, it would be hard for him to hold and glass bottle and drink out of. Overall, I would recommend this product to a friend that is looking for alternative to plastic bottles.

The nipples were the closest to mothers breasts that I have ever seen. My daughter latched on and sucked just like when I was nursing. I have never used glass bottles before but I found them very durable, easy to hold on to, and I wasn't worried they would break like I thought I might be. There are little flat spots on the bottles to help hold them more comfortably. The nipples were not only shaped like mothers breast, but were also thick and helps to make the baby have to suck to get something out. I enjoyed this product and would recommend it to anyone with a bottle fed baby.

I really liked this bottle set. I have been using Philips Avent bottles for my newborn and I never had an issue from the start. This glass set is very sturdy, and comes with a sleeve for the bottles in case it gets dropped. Only downside is the bottle may be heavy for my little one to carry on his own when he can start to do so, so I am using tbe glass ones now while I am feeding, then probably going back to the Avent plastic bottles. These are wonderful bottles, and I do want to say that I received a free set for the review. I use the Avent natural glass baby bottles for my 2 month old baby, she absolutely adores them. I currently breastfeed and this is the closest nipple I have been able to find to the real thing. Making it easier for my little one to accept the bottle when I am busy and can't latch at the moment I highly recommend this product

I received the newborn glass starter set for free to review and I will start by saying that I was a bit skeptical about using glass bottles because I have always used plastic and worried about the glass ones getting broke. I was pleasantly surprised to find that these glass bottles are very solid and durable and did not disappoint. My 2 year old son got ahold of one and dropped it and it didn't break. One thing that I loved the most about these bottles is that they were easy to clean and didn't have a filmy residue that plastic bottles get from the milk. The bottles are still as crystal clear as the day I began using them. The bottles are simple to put together with just the bottle, ring, and nipple. I didn't have any problems with assembly. One issue I did have with the bottles was that a couple of times it leaked out the side. Apparently I didn't have the lid screwed on just right so just be careful when you put the lid on. Sometimes I find it helpful to hold the bottle upside down to make sure the milk comes out the nipple before I start feeding my baby just to make sure it won't leak out. Overall I really do like these bottles and will continue to use them.

My son is exclusively breastfed so I'm always on the lookout for products that help maintain our breastfeeding success. These bottles have a wide base nipple which mimics the shape of the female breast. My son had no problems latching on and the flow from the size 1 nipple was adequate for him. When using the size 2 nipple the flow was too quick for him at this age. I am not a fan of the soft cover for the 4 oz bottle bc you can't see how much milk is in the bottle. Also it makes the bottle a little more slippery and harder to hold especially if your baby is an active eater. The soothie pacifier that came in the set is great. Its the only kind of pacifier my son will even consider. Overall I am very satisfied with this product and will recommend it to others!

My daughter easily transitioned back and forth from these bottle nipples and my breast. She had no confusion and she still had to work for the flow of milk. I also believe this bottle did a great job of preventing air intake. She never became gassy or colic. The bottles were easy to assemble and clean. I do not heat my daughters milk and the sleeved worked wonders blocking my hand from the cold glass. Lastly I appreciated the two soothies in this set. Doesnt leak. the wide breast shaped nipple made it easier for her to latch on no problem. and the sleeve works well in protecting the glass also for keeping the milk warm when not needed right away. I started using the 40z then used the bigger bottle since my daughter is a month and a half. but she had no problem taking the size 1 and 2 nipples. The Philips AVent SOOTHIE are the only soothie she ever used. she loves it. I should also mention that i was sent a free sample to use for my honest review.

I received a free sample box of the Newborn Glass Starter Set in the mail to try out and review. When I first opened the box, I was surprised and impressed. I had never tried glass bottles before, and was impressed by the quality of them. They looked identical to the Philips Avent plastic bottles I have, but nicer. I also really liked the bottle sleeve. According to the instructions, I sterilized the bottles in boiling water for 5 minutes before using them. This left a weird film on the bottles. I've done this before with plastic bottles and not had this issue. Even after then washing them with hot water and soap, I still had a film. The film came off when I wiped them with a clean, dry towel. My 9 week old wasn't a fan of the bottles themselves. I gave it to my mom to give her. I had prepared the bottle before I left, and put it in the fridge. My mom let it warm up to room temperature by putting it on the counter for a couple minutes and then putting it in her warm hands. It took forever to warm up, which with a screaming baby, wasn't working well. I think it took so long because the glass was doing a good job of insulating the bottle, along with the bottle sleeve. She took the sleeve off and it warmed up a little bit faster, but she still had to give it to my daughter a little cold. My daughter wasn't a fan of the nipple provided. She refused to suck on it at first and then when she did, the milk came pouring out, unlike other bottles she's had. This made her upset and refuse to drink anymore. We tried a couple other times, but every time she'd latch on the same thing would happen and the milk would come out extremely fast and upset her. A little bummed, because I did think they were nice bottles, I tried the same bottle/nipple combination with my three year old. He was okay with the milk being cold, and the nipple size seemed perfect for him (despite it being labeled as a newborn flow nipple). The bottle sleeve was nice to protect the bottle from being broken when he put it down on the table a little too heavy. Overall, I think I would still recommend these bottles to someone because of their nice quality. I think this set would be a nice shower gift for someone planning on combining breastfeeding and bottle feeding. The glass bottles are the same size as the plastic ones I have, so all the top pieces could be interchangeable, which is nice for busy moms. I received a set of these glass bottles as a free sample, but all opinions are my own. I was excited when I learned of the opportunity to sample these, as I had registered for Avent bottles (although they were the plastic version, not glass) for my shower and hadn't received them. My baby took to the bottles right away and there were no issues. The bottles break down to a few different pieces but it is easy and doesn't take long to assemble them. They are easy to clean and I love the protective sleeve that came with the set for the smaller bottles. I'm definitely going to look into purchasing a sleeve for the larger bottles. Overall, I would recommend these to a friend and will purchase additional bottles for myself.

This is a great starter set, what can I say? First off, it's glass. I know many people are walking away from plastic bottles, so this is perfect right from the start. The pack does come with 2 different sized bottles, which is fantastic for various feedings. I usually take the smaller bottles in the diaper bag just for easy transportation and it's much lighter, considering the bottles are glass. I also love the extra sleeve feature, I've never seen this with any other bottles. The two included binkies are great. Didn't have to freak out and buy a ton of them. They'll do for now, until I lose them. Bottles are easy to clean, I feel much better when I put these in the dishwasher instead of the plastic ones. I have not had any leaking issues. Overall, I really like the starter set, I went looking for the same pack for my sister in law, who is due soon, but I wasn't able to find the exact one. I absolutely love these bottles. I wish I would have known about these bottles 2 years ago with my son. I am a mom who limits plastic in the house due to different toxins. I have used other bottles that just didn't compare to this one. I love how the nipple is easy to take out of the ring to wash everything. The bottle is also easy to clean. The newborn set came with 3- 4oz bottles and 2- 8oz bottles also in the package was a small bottle cover and a pack of pacifiers. One thing I wish you could pick the color of the bottle color when buying the starter pack, I also wish they had an option of either getting the pacifiers or a large bottle cover. Personally my child doesn't take a pacifier so that pack was useless to me. These bottles are easy to travel with and clean which make me one happy mom. My child has not experienced colic or extreme gas or fussiness with these bottles. My 2 year old can even hold these bottles and feed my daughter with no problem. I also love how easy it it to find replacement nipples for the next stages where as other bottles you have to order it because they don't always carry them in stores. I do have to say that I did receive the bottles free in exchange for an honest review.

I received a free sample of this glass newborn baby bottle set to review, and overall I felt it was a good product. However, it is a little heavy to hold when your sleepy and the baby/toddler is also asleep. I would definitely get a silicone cover to protect the glass.

This is my first time using the Philips AVENT Newborn Glass Starter Set.This is a perfect starter set and has everything you need for a newborn. The bottles have a great design, shape, and are high quality. They wash well after use and stand up great during trips in the diaper bag. The ease of handling of the bottle as well as the nipple flow worked well for my baby too. The natural nipples shape are very much like mom's. The orthodontic pacifier is exactly like the one the hospital provided. I love having extras now since my baby took a liking to these. Starting with the pros Pros: - Wide neck makes it easier to clean and pour into. -Glass is easy to clean - no extra parts - Venting system works very good. - Works well for me as I am a breastfeeding mom that needs to supplement with bottles Cons -these bottles leak, out of the set only one doesn't leak i have it marked and use it often -Heavier than normal bottles -Can't use at daycare -when baby is old enough this may break after being thrown Overall the bottles were just ok, the leakage is very annoying

I received a set of these glass bottles as a free sample, but all opinions are my own. I was excited when I learned of the opportunity to sample these, as I had registered for Avent bottles (although they were the plastic version, not glass) for my shower and hadn`t received them. My baby took to the bottles right away and there were no issues. The bottles break down to a few different pieces but it is easy and doesn`t take long to assemble them. They are easy to clean and I love the protective sleeve that came with the set for the smaller bottles. I`m definitely going to look into purchasing a sleeve for the larger bottles. Overall, I would recommend these to a friend and will purchase additional bottles for myself.

I received the newborn glass starter set free in exchange for my honest opinion. Pros- The bottles are high quality glass with easy assembly and cleaning. The ounce markings seem like they will last and not rub off the bottle, which is a major problem I have had in the past. I really like that it comes with a cloth sleeve for comfort. There are enough bottles in this set that I only had to do dishes a few times a day. I also appreciate not having to worry about any chemicals like I do with plastic bottles . Overall I really like these bottles and would recommend them to a friend. The only cons I would mention is glass bottles overall- I was a little scared of dropping and shattering them, especially when doing everything one-handed with baby in my other arm. However I was terrified of dropping my baby at the beginning too and got over that pretty quickly!

Overall, I appreciate the quality of these bottles, but it wasn't the right fit for my baby. I received a free starter set of the newborn glass bottles to review, and while I personally liked them, my little guy had another preference. Having never used glass bottles before, I liked how they felt a little more substantial in my hand. The downside to this, of course, is that they are heavier. My baby isn't ready for holding his own bottle yet, but I feel like when he gets to that point, the heavier glass might prohibit him from doing so. Also, if dropped they are capable of breaking, whereas plastic bottles are not. To help with this, a little sleeve is included for the smaller bottles, which was handy for gripping, but less handy for seeing how much was left in the bottle. It made me wonder, though, if there's a sleeve available for the larger size bottle as well. From what I understand, some of the benefits of glass bottles over plastic is that they are easy to sterilize/clean, and definitely don't contain chemicals like BPA, etc. Since the nipple ring, nipple, and lid are still made of non-glass materials, though, does that negate one of the major benefits of a glass bottle? Ultimately, it seems that the upper components of this glass set contain the same items as the plastic version. I like the idea of the Avent vented nipples, but they just didn't seem to work for my baby. Every time he let go of the nipple, air bubbles would flow from the hole in the nipple through the milk, as opposed to the air valves while he was sucking. We've tried other vented bottles where this doesn't happen, so it seemed like a flaw in the design somehow. Finally, I found the lids difficult to remove. I read another review where the user raved about how easy it was, though, so perhaps this was user error on my part? When holding a crying baby in one hand, and trying to pop off the lid of the bottle with the other, it was sometimes a difficult process. The curved design felt nice, but was hard to grip and get off efficiently.

I have no worries of this glass breaking under any circumstances which was an initial concern. I and my baby enjoyed how natural the nipple to the bottle is leading it to be a much more natural experience for my baby. It does well with taking different temperatures of liquids in the bottle and keeps it warm or cold longer than other bottles we have tried. I recommend this glass starter set to any mother.

I received a free sample of the glass starter set recently to review. The pros is that the glass starter set is nice and sturdy. The nipple is softer than the other bottles similar to its type and I felt better about putting hot water into these bottles. The cons are the weight of each bottle and that the flow wasn't good for my infant baby and I noticed that my baby would have more spill around the nipple of the bottle than normal. Overall is a great purchase if you are worried about plastic leakage from bottles if you use hot water for your formula.
