Great choice if you need to seat 3
November 7, 2010

I bought the Twin TriMode with the Toddler Joey Seat because I needed a jogging stroller to fit my 3 kids so I can exercise. Overall I really like it - it's easy to push (does not feel like I am pushing 70+ pounds of kids!) and my kids are all comfortable in the stroller. I like that you can recline the seats and each kid has their own canopy (although I don't like that you have to pay an extra $40 for the canopy for the joey seat!). It's very easy to steer and fits well through doorways. If I only needed a double though, I would probably go for the double BOB because it seems sturdier. I have had a few problems with the Twin TriMode - one of the back wheels started to wobble after only having the stroller for a week. I called Valco and they immediately sent a replacement, but I don't think that should happen to a $700 stroller. Also I just noticed that one of the buttons you use to adjust the handlebar fell out, so now I need to get that replaced as well. It seems like it should be sturdier for the $ you pay for this stroller. Also, it does not fit well in the back of my minivan. I have to take the extra joey seat off, and remove one back wheel to get it to fit. I have a 99 Sienna though so the back of my van is probably smaller than the new ones. It takes me about 5 minutes to set up the stroller, then another 5 to get all the kids. So it's not the instant unfold triple stroller I was hoping for, but overall it does a great job at transporting the 3 kids and has some great ammenities like the canopies, reclining seats, and free raincover and tire pump.
Pros:
ability to seat 3; reclining seats; individual canopies; easy and light to push
Cons:
doesn't fit well in back of car; a few things have broken after little use
