The Stinky Pad is an alternative to conventional plasticized crib mattresses and crib mattress protector. Featuring unbleached organic cotton and a medical grade waterproof liner, the Stinky Pad is placed between the sheet and crib mattress to protect your crib mattress.

Most crib mattress protectors just use PVC Vinyl for waterproofing which is known to outgas. The Stinky Pad?s medical grade waterproof liner is safer and will last much longer, toughing through countless washes mattress protectors undergo.

Hand stitched, the Stinky Pad is composed of 2 layers. First is Essentia?s unbleached organic cotton. Second is the medical grade plastic waterproof liner which also reduces shifting.

The Stinky Pad is hypoallergenic and a dust mite deterrent. To clean simply toss in washer and allow it to air dry.

Avoid this pad

I would give this zero stars if I could. I bought it about 18 months ago because I own a Leander crib/bed. About 6 months ago, I noticed that when my child would have an accident it would soak through the pad and the second set of sheets I had underneath the pad would be wet or damp. I always washed the pad in cool water and hung it to dry. I contacted customer service and was told that since there was no warranty on the stinky pad, they could only offer me a 50% discount on a new purchase. This is a $120 waterproof pad. It should work, period. If it fails, it should be replaced. I should not have to pay again. Others I have tried for 1/5 the cost have done their job and prevented liquids from soaking through.
I do not recommend this pad. Shame on Essentia for producing a defective product and then not standing behind it.
