Nice seat
February 12, 2008
This car seat is decent, the crotch strap is short, but I called Safety 1st and ordered a longer one for free.

Great for keeping in harness
January 25, 2008
We got this seat for use in my husband's truck. As we are in the truck not very frequently as a family we couldn't spend the money to get a higher harnessed weight limit seat. I was so happy to find this one, installation was easy and it allows us to keep my son harnessed in his father's truck for a much longer period of time for a price we could afford. The day I got it I ordered the longer crotch buckle and got it within 3 days and have had no problems using it.

Keep your kids harnessed longer!
January 15, 2008
My 5 year old still rides in this seat... I feel so much safer with him still in a 5 point harness. This is a really good seat, but see review below (from CPST)for a couple quirks it has.. I would highly recommend this seat for parents who'd like to keep their child harnessed longer but don't want to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on other seats.

Great for keeping your child safe
January 12, 2008
I purchased two of these seats. My 2 year old son is in this one and my 4 year old daughter is in the blue version. We LOVE them. I wanted to keep them internally harnessed for as long as possible and this was definitely our answer!! Please be aware you must have high seatbacks and/or adjustable headrests to accommodate this seat when you need to raise the top to get to the last level of seatbelt strap holes.

Fantastic Purchase

I did a lot of research before finally deciding on this seat. Hubby wasn't willing to pay more for other seats, so this was the perfect option for us. I love this seat, but agree with the other, the buckle is too short to use with the padding; I will definately have to call to get a new one. My 4 year old son is 39 pounds and his torso height is 14 1/2", so he should be able to stay in this seat until he is 6 hopefully!

LOVE IT!
December 14, 2007
I got one of these seats when they first hit the market in early 2006, and it is truly an awesome seat. I got it for my oldest originally just shy of her third birthday because she was 40lbs and I couldn't afford Britax, and this seat has been great for her, she still fits into the harness by height if I need it for her. I've also used it with my 3yr old, and its now waiting for my 23 month old to grow into it, it has a 34" height minimum requirement just like all of the other seats made by the company (Eddie Bauer, Safety 1st, the Alpha Omegas, and Cosco) It does need an adjustable headrest behind it like another reviewer said, but its a GREAT seat for someone on a tight budget if you can meek those requirements. I'd buy this seat again right now if I needed to, its that good. I had NO problems with the crotch buckle strap being too short too, but if it is too short for you then call the company and they will send you a new longer one.

Love this seat!

I LOVE this seat. LOVE IT! I recomend ti to everyone I know. Yeah the crotch buckle was short, bt they send you one for free. My son is 5 and tall and still has 2" of growth left in this seat.It is so easy to install. He loves the comfort. It will make a great booster.I cannot say enough good about this seat.

Good Seat for the Money
October 29, 2007
This seat is a decent buy for the money. We were looking for a seat that would keep our children in a 5 point harness at a much greater height than the typical high-back booster carseats. This seat definitely does the job. This seat does need to be installed in a seat with headrests when it is in the "extended" position for a taller child. It is a very large seat, but as long as you don't need to fit 3 across a bench seat, it should be fine (2 of these seats take up an entire bench seat). The only significant downfall is the crotch buckle, which, like other reviewers have stated, does poke into the thighs of the kids. It helps tremendously to remove the "toddler" padding, but the crotch strap should still be longer since this seat is designed to fit much taller and larger children than a standard carseat.

very nice seat

My 3yr old needed more room the her marathon was giving her and so a CPS tech recommended we try this one. So far we love it. It has a large mold and my dd seems very comfy too. I havent found the crotch strap to be too short (yet) but that was a problem we had with our marathon and there was no solution.

Lifesaving seat
October 9, 2007
I purchased this carseat after visiting the kyledavidmiller.com website. If your child has outgrown the infant carseat and you are looking for the next step up please please please visit this website first. Boosters that use the adult strap only aren't safe enough! I didn't know and bought my daughter a regular Graco booster. Now I know that she should still be in a five-point harness so I purchased this seat for her as well as my 24 lb 18month old son. This seat is roomy, comfy, and most importantly, safer than a typical booster. Please visit the website kyledavidmiller.org.

Great seat for bigger kids!
September 5, 2007
I just purchaced this seat for my three year old daughter, she loves it, I love it. The only down side is that the buckle is to short to use with the toddler padding and bigger child, I called Safety 1st and got another within a week. It is a great seat for the price, if I didn't get this one for less than $100 my daughter would be in a booster seat right now.

Great seat (one quirk)
August 28, 2007
This is agreat seat! The only quirk is that it needs adjustable vehicle headrests behind it. It also has a somewhat short crotch strap - but a new (longer) one can be ordered for free. I highly recommend it if you have adjustable vehicle headrests!

Nice seat but not for chubby kiddos
August 15, 2007
I bought this seat for my son who is 2 1/2. He is in the 100% percentile for weight and height and has thick little thighs. Even letting out the straps as much as possible I couldn't get it to fit him comfortably. The bottom buckle pressed against his privates and cut into his thighs. If you have a BIG child I would suggest just getting the Britax Regent.
