the SUV of strollers
March 27, 2011

We've had this stroller for about a year now and are very happy with it. The engineering and materials used are top notch, it steers easily and super smoothly and looks like it will grow with our baby. We started off with the stroller seat off and just the car seat (SIP30/30) snapped in. It was the perfect solution while our baby was small and an ideal alternative to the Pliko Switch or bassinet type strollers, which we also considered. Now that baby is bigger (i.e. alert to enjoy the forward facing set-up and also too heavy to lug around in a car seat) we snapped the seat in and really enjoy the extra versatility. The bottom basket is spacious and well designed (no hanging etc.), the cup holders fit a starbucks cup well and the adjustable handle is not only a comfort bonus but also makes fitting it in our car easier. This is where my only complaint comes - the stroller is definitely big. A friend warned me it would be but we decided it was worth the high quality and comfort. I did just order a PegPerego Si, to be our light-weight stroller alternative - since I got good discounts on both strollers (including form albee baby) I don't mind the apparent "splurge" - an all in one stroller would just come at too many compromises and we like having the "SUV stroller" for walks to the park and the "sportcar" stroller for when we are on the road.
Pros:
solid materials
great look
easy maneuverability
smooth ride for parent and baby
Cons:
definitely on the big size
you can get a flat tire (still, an easy fix)
