My parents were very excited to have their first grandchild and so they wanted "only the best for their baby." This is certainly one of the most expensive carseats. My mom calls it "The Cadillac of Carseats." I like the sunshade and it does clip in and out of the car fairly easily. My husband likes how the base locks to the car and how it says when it's tilted correctly. Both he and I, feel that it is very, very safe, which is obviously the number one concern. The second concern is transportability and durability. I have no idea if it's durable, because this is baby #1 and she's only 4 months old. However, as concerning transportability, carrying the car seat is very difficult. I consider myself a fairly strong woman (I was a gymnast for more years that I wasn't a gymanst) and even for me it feels heavy. Additionally, the extra padding inside keeps her safe etc but it also makes her sweat. I gave it a 3 because if I were paying for it myself, I would've been disappointed by those issues. However, it is really great for being in the car and for short trips into a pharmacy etc. She also "sleeps like a baby" the moment she gets into it, which I guess means it is comfortable. Maybe it deserves 4 stars...
