I really wanted to love it! Flawed design :(
January 4, 2013
This is a gorgeous stroller, with very high quality materials. I assembled it and tested it out, and it strolls very smoothly, the step is cool for and older kid. Would be awesome for walking an older baby around your own neighborhood, if you never had to fold it up! I really wanted to love it, but there are a few deal breakers: #1 Difficult to fold up, definitely requires 2 hands by the nature of the design. You have to release (pull up) mechanisms below both sides of the hand grips, but if you extend the hand grips for use, like I would have, they become too low to reach. They are also not extremely easy to pull up for average sized female hands. #2 Unfolding is a little easier, but it requires you release the handles again, and then use your foot to lock in place. #3 The basket is very difficult to access from behind the stroller (where you stand to push). It is blocked by metal support bars, no way to get a diaper bag in and out. #4 Its not the lightest stroller out there, a bit heavier than others the same size, probably due to the step. #4 Because it folds down the middle, there is a seam beneath the upholstery where a toddlers head would be, and above a baby's head. Because of the way it folds out, it creates a slight V pointing/pushing towards the "headrest" area. In other words, the back of the stroller "pushes out around the head rest area. It just doesn't look comfortable. I asked a friend who has the same stroller of it eve goes down (hoping it would soften or loosen after time) and she said it never did go down after 2 years of owning it. I could have made exceptions with the other challenges this stroller poses, but it would have to be perfectly cozy for the baby and it just didn't seem it would be because of the bulge behind the headrest. So that's the deal breaker and I think its going back!
