I actually bought this gate a couple of years ago and never wrote the review. I thought about it when my next door neighbor asked where I bought it because he would like one. Unfortunately it is out of stock at this time.
Pros:
It is good for both kids and pets. I put this extra wide with an extension on my front porch and both my grandkids and my pugs are protected by this gate. It has not rusted and is durable enough that they can hang off of it and it does not effect it.
Cons:
The only problem with adding the extention is if you put it at the top of the steps like I did and you go to open out toward you, you have to be at least 3 steps down in order to open it. If you make it open inward toward the porch, you must have the path cleared in order to open it. Small price to pay to have this protection.
