Medela Personal Fit Breast Shield Connectors

I don't understand. I've bought 3 sets of these connectors and they do not work with my pump in style advanced. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do as I use the large shields and have only one set of connectors that works. I've read the reviews and it looks like they work fine for some people and not for others. There is zero suction when I hook these up to the tubing. I love Medela and all their products so they really need to fix this issue please!

I bought a few pairs of these, which I need for work. They aren't the same as the ones that came with my advanced personal double pump, and I couldn't find any like them, so I had to get these. Extremely disappointed!! Because of where the tubing connects, I get a LOT of condensation and sometimes milk back up into my tubing. I let my pump run for sometimes over 10 minutes after I finish pumping to clear out the moisture, but it's not always enough. With my line of work I cannot take any longer to pump! I've had to buy multiple sets of tubing and thrown away milk because of these, but currently don't have a choice. I can't wash my parts at work or keep them in a fridge to reuse, and the wipes can't clean in those small areas, so I am at a loss! Wish I could just buy more that connect on top, like what came with my pump.

I was worried about ordering this product based on the reviews but I'm using these connectors now with no problems or leaks. The suction and my milk output is the same too. These replacement parts have been great for over a week now. Thanks Medela!

I was scared to get these after reading the terrible reviews but like the last reviewer I have no problems. The holes have nothing to do with the suction, that's what the membranes are for. I've only had milk go into a tube once because I let the bottle get too full. I did have an issue with condensation in the tubes but that is easily solved by letting the pump run for a minute to let the tubes dry out after use. i do prefer the old style, but there's nothing wrong with the new ones.

I absolutely hate these connectors! I purchased the newer style as a second set to help with my daily pumping. The first time I used these connectors moisture got into the tubing. I have NEVER once had moisture in the tubing while using the older style connector that came with my insurance issued Mandela pump. What a waste of money! These are going right in the trash. So disappointed!

I am looking through these review and am not understanding why there are so many one-stars. This is my third baby and with each i have used the medela pump in style and another that I can't remember at the moment. It's always worked well. I have even tried Ameda which was ok but Medela always got me great supply. There was no issue with suction as a couple reviews stated and although there is a chance for spillage, it's not a huge amount. More than enough stays in the bottle, obviously if u see it and react right away. Also there was very minimal back flow if I ever experienced it. Happened maybe 3x for me. I tried the Freemie this time around too and followed instructions and assembly to the T. Medela is still much better and I'd pick it over the Freemie or any other any day, regardless of it being bulkier and noisier.

I got these with my pump thru my insurance and I have had a drop in my milk production due to these. It has very poor suction and I use the personal fit flex and I get nothing but air when pumping. I never got this with the hospital grade Medela breast pump. I have a micro-preemie and breastfeeding and pumping is the only thing I do now my supply has dropped due to this. I have the pump in style backpack breast pump. The design is not get and I wish the old design was available for purchase.

This item has been designed terribly! Milk is easily able to get back into the tubing with this design and it does not get good as good of suction as the one that comes with the pump! This item is very disappointing!

Ever since I started using these I have terrible suction when pumping. It almost feels like I'm not even pumping. I'm super disappointed.

I purchased these connectors earlier in the week as back up pump parts. They are TERRIBLE! The suction is poor and they are causing condensation in my tubes. I find that I am having to hand express after a 20 minute pump session.

I agree with the other reviews. I bought a second set of pump parts for my Medela pump in style pump but was stuck trying to get milk out of an engorged breast with a high pump setting and was barely able to get any milk out with these parts. I had to wait until I got home to use my original connectors to pump.

The design is awful! Milk and/or condensation backs up into the tubing with these connectors. Please consider selling the original connectors for replacement parts.

I am not a fan of this design. I like the original much better. I feel as this design causes me less suction and much more condensation. Please rethink selling the old design separately

Medela should provide connectors that work like the ones provided in the original set. I don't understand why they don't for all the reasons others have posted related to moisture getting into the tubes and the less comfortable suctioning motion. They make the part well in the original design of the pump in style advanced, so why can't they sell that for different breast shield sizes?

These don't work as well as the connectors that come with the pump. The hole for the tubing is right at the end, exactly where the milk spray is and as a result the milk sprays right into the tubing. The connectors that came with the pump are a better design where the tubing connects on top so the milk doesn't get in the tubing. I wanted to buy more like what came with my pump but apparently they aren't sold individually. Not sure why they are selling such a bad design when they already have a better design that comes with the pump.

The design is awful - they need to redo the design to make it like the Medala advanced pump connectors that come with the insurance provided pump - those work the best!

I received my PIS with these connectors. Then I bought another and it had connectors where the tubing connects on top! 1000x better...why is Medela still selling this design when it sends milk condensation DIRECTLY into the tubing???

Bought these to have a second set of connectors to leave at home. This version of the connector has a design flaw. I used these for the first time today, and there was condensation in my tubing when I was done pumping. The tubing connection is too close to where the milk enters the connector via the flange. I wish the tubing connected at the top of the connector like the ones that came with my pump.

I bought one box and had to return it due to the hole in the plastic. The next one was fine. I also noticed that some fit the life factory bottle neck threads better than others. Not sure why there is a variance. I appreciate that I can use different bottles with this pump and so I make it work.

I bought these to go with my personal fit breast shield, but I didn't even need to use it for the pump to work, so it wasn't worth the money to me.
