We all love Maxi Cosi now
May 30, 2012
This is our 2nd purchase of the Maxi Cosi Rodi Booster. We bought our first one a year or two ago and my son was using it while we got hit when stopped at a red light. The other child in the car didn't have a back on her booster and she her back and hip was really out of alignment (was limping the next day) but my son was fine. So we bought a new one to replace the old one for our 5 year old. This is a newer version is a little cushier than the one we bought previously, it's a little cushier. We all really like it. We bought another one for our (40 lb very tall) 3 year old, it fits them both well because of the easy adjust headrest. And when a package of applesauce got squirted on it and dried out on it it washed out beautifully in the washer. and with an overnight airdry was perfectly clean and looked brand new. No pilling on the material from washing. I love it.
Pros:
Easy to use and transfer from chair to chair. Easy for kids to fall asleep in since the head rest wraps around let's them lay their head back on it instead of leaning way out or to the side. Held up well in a minor collision and protected my child better than just a booster with no back. It reclines. It keeps the buckle at the right spot on the shoulder. Easy for the kid to buckle himself. Cleaned very well in the washer and air dry, pretty easy to reassemble the cushions. Easy adjust headrest.
Cons:
Sometimes it leans over unless you have armrests on the chair to keep it in place. Its hard to get the recline to stay reclined when putting the child in the chair. Hard to get it to recline when the seatbelt is already buckled.
