Comfortable, safe, but big
April 7, 2014
I have used Maxi Cosi seats for all of my three children, starting with the infant Mico seat, then the Priori convertible, and my oldest is in the Rodi booster seat. One of the things I loved about Maxi Cosi was that they were significantly smaller, without compromising safety, than other car seats of similar quality. I also loved the affordability of the seats here on Albeebaby. I have to say that I was shocked by the size of the new pria 70 seat. It is easily twice the size of the previous generation of Maxi Cosi convertible, and a lot heavier. I do appreciate the increase in weight capacity, but for my personal preference, the size is a big con of the new seat. The only other negative, is that the recline feature is different and is now fixed based on size of the child.
On the positive side, this seat is extremely soft, and comfortable. I haven't found another seat that feels as great as this one. I also like that you don't have to rethread the straps to adjust harness size. The handle of the head rest is easily adjustable and has lots of options which is great.
Overall, I still rate this seat highly because, in comparison to other similar seats (price, etc.) it is still has a lot of positives.
