Sturdy and Real
January 6, 2016
I assembled this high chair myself because I was too impatient for my husband to get home from work and do it, and as a result, I am positive the experience increased my confidence in the product because I personally screwed every bolt into that piece of furniture. Knowing that my baby is never going to get out of it, no matter how hard he tries, is a great comfort to this busy mama of four kiddos ages five and under. Love the real wood, the sturdiness and pleasing look of the design, the open seat that allows uneaten food to simply fall to the floor or be openly accessible to sweep away... This makes my life quite easy. I merely have to sweep and wipe away after baby is finished eating. I don't have to detach the tray or dog in seat crevices in wild hopes of extracting every pea and carrot that finds it's way in the tiny books and crannies of most other high chairs with closed seating.
Pros
- I love, love, love this wood. It is not only gorgeous, but very smooth, and overall an absolutely lovely furniture addition to my home. When searching for a wooden high chair, this was the most affordable, attractive, natural-looking option I found. I couldn't be happier with the look of this high chair.
Cons
- The seat belt, while well-designed to keep even a wriggly 8-month old within its five-point-harness' clutches, is quite stiff to open and close. Only complaint.
