Great, affordable stroller
January 19, 2012
I needed a light umbrella stroller for traveling alone on the NYC subway with my 9m old son. I already had a City Mini as my main stroller so did not want to spend the $$ for a MacLaren Triumph or Uppa Baby G-Luxe, even though I covet the latter especially! I have a Britax Blink at the grandparents' house, which is a terrific umbrella stroller except for the weight - it would have been too heavy for me to cart around the city. I kept reading reviews that the Swift was the affordable version of these two strollers, and it is true. It has a sturdy back and a 3 point recline, which I really wanted for my little guy. The canopy is fine, and it folds up easily and I find the hand strap instead of shoulder strap actually much easier in terms of carrying it. Two complaints are that the leg rest doesn't curl up, and the seat is not very deep. My son actually seems to enjoy this as he's very alert and seems to like being right out there in the world looking around, but I wonder if it means he will outgrow it more quickly. Other than that, it's a great stroller!
Cons:seat is not very deep
leg rest does not curl up; it's in a fixed position
