Love Graco, but doesn't fit a large baby
March 6, 2012
Most moms are looking for a carrier car seat like this for the baby's first year, if that's the case, I highly recommend this. It's good quality and adorable. But I bought this Snugride 35 for my 18-month-old so I could easily switch him from car to car. He had a Snugride 22 that I took him everywhere in. Well, even though he is 4 inches below the height restriction, and 27 lbs. (8 lbs under the weight allotment) he doesn't fit in this. It's called the Snugride 35 because it supposedly holds your 35-lb child. However, it's entirely too snug. So I called Graco. After explaining the situation to the lady, it appears that Graco's Snugride 35 only really fits a 25-lb. and under baby. So Graco is returning this for me. Again though, most moms don't want to put their toddler in an infant carrier and this isn't a big deal. But if you're ordering a Snugride 35 to allow for the child to be in it longer, this won't work. My son fits in his Snugride 22 just as well as this.
Pros:
I love the Graco Snugrides. I won't buy anything else. This one is very cute and I love the pattern and the price. It's easy to use, you can snap it into a base or just buckle it into a car fast and easily and still have it be safe. I also like how accessible the buttons are to buckle and unbuckle baby.
