Over all seems like a great car seat
February 21, 2012

I only received this about 5 days ago, but my husband had the base installed in less than 5 minutes. My daughter who is 19 mo seems to really like it too. She has plenty of room in it, and the fact that it has so many ways to adjust it makes it very comfortable for her. I haven't had any issues with adjusting the harness, the recline or the head position at all. I like that when you adjust the head position it adjusts the harness height as well (not the overall fit, but the notch it resides in). We had to do that manually on our infant car seat. There are a couple things that could be easier for parents. First of all the locking mechanism has knobs on both sides of the seat. It's kind of hard to unlock it from the base/lock it to the base because I have to actually crawl up on the floor board to reach the knob on the far side. (I have a Ford Edge, by the way). It also takes up a lot of room in rear facing position. I can drive comfortably, but I am only 5'4". My husband would be far too cramped because we can't put the seat all the way back. (He's 6'3".) It seems that we can get it about 1/2 way or a bit more. No one will be able to ride in the passenger seat of his Subaru Impreza with it rear facing either. However, it seems well constructed, and the padding seems more than adequate to provide a comfortable seat for my daughter. Her safety and comfort outweigh the inconveniences. Overall I would recommend this seat. This pattern is very pretty too. That's just a bonus.
Pros:
Seems sturdy and safe.
Seems comfortable.
Easy to adjust.
Can use for many years if taken care of.
Stay in car base.
Cons:
Difficult to detach from or attach to the base because of the position of the locking knobs.
Takes up a lot of room in rear facing position.
