Bad purchase. Looks like the old fashioned toy, but isn't
April 17, 2022
Bought this for my grand daughter for Christmas. She was excited to play with it. It doesn't work no matter what my son tries. She now plays with the records by using them as plates. Disappointed that she can't use this like the ones used years ago.

Cheap Copy
March 6, 2019
We all remember the original. This is just a cheap copy. Got one for my grandchildren to play with at my house. It is nothing like the original my children had in the 1970s. Poorly made, difficult to set records on the turntable. Requires batteries, needs to be cranked, tone arm is hard to maneuver. On/off switch doesn't work well. The windup spring broke after a month. Doesn't deserve the Fischer Price name. Its a waste of money.

Kids Love it, but it didn't last long
February 5, 2018
We bought this for Christmas in 2016 and the wind up portion of the toy no longer works. My kids loved it while it lasted.

Love it BUT
January 5, 2018
When we opened the box and the record player there was only one record included. How can we get the other 4? This was a Christmas present from someone who lives out of town.

WINDING MECHANISM BROKE IN LESS THAN TWO MONTHS.
April 20, 2017
Complete piece of junk. The winding mechanism made a loud popping sound and the turntable stopped turning less than two months into owning it. It is unacceptable to me that a children's toy would be made this poorly.

Not a music box
December 25, 2016
Does not read discs anymore like the one I grew up playing with. Requires batteries. Warning on package days not recommended for children under 3 due to small parts, yet package days 18 months and older. This is not a real music box, the discs no longer come with ridges that are read by the arm, rather this is a cheap knock off version, that they still want 30 bucks for. Not worth the money. Don't get the new one, stick with the old one when the quality was much better!

Awesome toy
November 3, 2016
We still have the original. NO batteries! Buying one for the grandchildren so they have one at home. Teaches the importance of an on/off switch and waiting for the song to be over. Used it many times for musical chairs.
