great carseat!

We own the Evenflo triumph advance LX and this Evenflo triumph advance premier. We got them due to the high rating in consumer reports and low price. comparing the two I like the Premier (this model) better. it has the latch hooks that click instead of the clips where you end up breaking nails on! it was also easier to install than the LX. we had to put a towel under the seat to make it level. I was able to get a snug fit with the premier but not with the LX. I had to have my husband tighten the LX so it wouldn't flop around, but I was able to get the premier in pretty tight on my own. The only downside is that the cupholder is useless. I love the infinite slide straps, and the knob you turn to tighten the straps. its also a very cushy seat. my husband says he wants one for himself, lol! my son falls asleep on the way home from Grandmas all the time. This premier model is much more luxurious than the LX for only 10 dollars more here on this site. I would highly recommend it. I have not yet had to wash the seat pad or straps and that could be a problem as I've heard that you cannot remove the straps so if your child gets carsick, protect them if you can. also I've heard not to dry the seat pad in the dryer. one more comment that evenflo could do better on this seat is the level indicator is just a line on the seat that says "make sure this line is level with ground". well my eyes thought it was level but then I used an actual level tool to check and it was not. some seats have a ball that has to be in the green to indicate level, that would be better for this seat. oh also we have a ford escape and we can still sit a small adult in the back with the carseat rearfacing in the center spot, i tried it out myself. some seats are so huge but this is a reasonable size!
Pros
- infinite slide straps, tightening knob, latch connectors, comfy seat, doesnt take up a lot of room in ford Escape rearfacing, price
Cons
- cupholder, straps don't disconnect from seat, level indicator
