The best part of this purchase was buying through Albee Baby. After installing the new booster, parting with the convertible Britax Advocate car seat, our daughter said it was too loud. We thought she was just being a typical four year old, and kind of dismissed it. Later in our seven hour trip, we realized that it really was loud. The culprit: Over the molded plastic is styrofoam. Exactly like the $4.99 coolers you buy at the corner convenience store. When the nylon fabric rubs on it with normal road vibrations, or the kiddo moving, it's like a squeaky cooler rubbing on something. I'll be contacting Britax to see if there are any "hacks" to solve this problem. We've now used it for a week, and the kiddo hates it. She LOVED all of her other Britax car seats. We're really bummed. Love the pattern, and option to use with harness. Even with the savings that Albee Baby offers, this is still an expensive booster so it seems this flaw wouldn't exist.
ProsLove the two cup holders & the option to harness in the kiddo.
ConsNoisy! Nylon outer covers a compressed styrofoam that is placed over the molded plastic of the chair. The styrofoam squeaks are enough to drive you batty--our daughter is now refusing to sit in it.
