Gets the job done.

I LOVE my Baby Jogger City Mini Double and needed to use it right from the start with my 2.5 yr old and newborn, so I purchased the car seat adapter to use until my baby is old enough to use the stroller seat itself. My husband and I were somewhat put-off by the almost-$100 price of the adapter, but because it was made by Baby Jogger and a true necessity, we bit the bullet and purchased it.
It was a bit tricky to install (the photos in the directions are pretty lousy), but we figured it out and had it installed in less than 20 min. We have a new Graco SnugRide 30 carseat, and tried it out (without the baby) right away. Let me preface my next comment by saying that my husband and I are "seasoned pros" as parents (we have 7 kids!) and while we are not, by any means, "safety freaks", we do like for our kids to be safe. ;-) So, when we attached our carseat to the adapter and buckled the safety strap across it, we were somewhat concerned when the seat still seemed fairly loose and moved around a lot. We tightened the strap as much as we could, and it only made a very slight improvement.
We have used the adapter (now, with our newborn in the carseat) about a dozen times and it seems to be safe enough. Although, when the stroller goes over any bumps higher than a 1/2" or so, the carseat REALLY bounces around a lot (so does the baby's head!). So, we tend to be especially careful when the carseat is attached.
Also, we were concerned that the adapter would make the stroller more difficult to fold and store in our SUV, but it hasn't been an issue at all. In fact, the whole thing even fit into the trunk of our compact car!
Even with that issue, we still intend to use the stroller with the adapter, as it really has made life a lot easier.
Pros:
Convenient, not cumbersome during storage
Cons:
Does not seem to keep carseat attached very tightly to stroller.
