Good for younger baby, but will need to be replaced for older baby

The look is great! Love the cherry. It was also great while I was breastfeeding and when the baby was smaller and less mobile. The mattress is on the thin side, but we folded one of the baby's thicker blankets and used that as a mattress pad. Now my son is 9.5 months old, 30 inches tall/long and can stand and climb. This thing cannot be 41 inches long like they say, because he is too tall/long for it and has to be layed on a diagonal. He is also able to hoist himself over the top rail so it is time for a full size crib with high side rails. He is such an escape artist that it doesn't matter that it holds up to 500 pounds. We have to get a longer crib with higher rails anyway. Another problem is the wheels are prone to fall off when you go to move it. To be fair, I'm not sure if that was an assembly problem or if it is a design problem. That's a whole lot of issues for the price. Fortunately we can use it for the next baby, as we plan to have some more.
